Mining class planned in Ogdensburg

    There will be a Mining History Class for educators and history buffs at the Sterling Hill Mining Museum, located at 30 Plant St., Ogdensburg on May 14 from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
    Participants are asked to arrive at the gift shot at 8:45 a.m.
    Geologist Ron Mishkin of Jefferson Township will present the role of mining throughout history and today with emphasis on the 300-year history of mining in New Jersey. The class is eligible for professional development credit. All facets of STEM will be provided to give educators the background of mines in America.
    Fees will be $15 for adults and $10 for seniors older than 60. Payment is to be made upon arrival. For registration, contact Ron Mishkin at 973-663-1296 or utep@optonline.net.
