PAL Youth leadership offers cultural day

Vernon Township High School Junior and PAL Youth Leadership President Christopher Ploch, 17, helped the youngsters create artwork during the annual Vernon PAL Youth Leadership Cultural Day.
Jayden Benoski-Bowen, 7, had his face painted by freshman Pea Brich, 15 during the event.
Trevor and Luke Pratt learned how to make crepe paper flowers.
The chance to experiment with origami was also a popular attraction.
VERNON — The Vernon Police Athletic League gymnasium was visited by children and their families who came to sample a wide variety of international cuisine, as well as cooking lessons, and arts and crafts.
This free family-oriented interactive program is geared toward young children and their parents. A wide variety of food offerings were donated by various local and area food purveyors.
