Candidate stands by her accomplishments

Apparently Bill Gettler has now targeted me in his very long list of anyone who either is or wishes to get involved in government. His current twisted account of the Lake Neepaulin issue adds to his increasing decline in credibility and his opinion he is a “higher authority”.
Surprisingly, Mr. Gettler claims my lawsuit was “premature”. He knows better and cheered it on at the time bragging how he was present at every appearance and phone conference. Funny he now agrees with the former Wantage Township Attorney, another favorite target, stating the case was premature.
I stood up for my civil rights, and those of my neighbors, on my own dime. I did not spend $15K only to save $500. Mr. Gettler is well aware of that. It was terribly unjustified, and in our case discriminatory, to make people pay for repairs to someone else’s private property. I fought tirelessly for 8 long years knowing what the final effect could have been had no one stood up for those rights. The legal reasons are many and complicated having nothing to do with a “vendetta”. Anyone that truly followed this case understands serious Federal consequences were involved.
My tenacity resulted with Wantage owning Lake Neepaulin, now part of our Parks Commission. With plans to expand the usage, the lake is open for all to enjoy. Fish & Wildlife is looking into stocking the lake for fishing; the Boy Scouts are sponsoring a fishing derby. Great fun for kids and families! Once empty homes are slowly coming back on the tax rolls. Everyone should be thrilled about that! I am proud of my accomplishments in Wantage Township and as a municipality we can now move on.
I can promise I will, without fear, bring that same determination and tenacity fighting for the taxpayers of Sussex County. I never bow to pressure, political or otherwise and anyone claiming they “know” me knows that.
