Vernon’s senior of the year recognized

VERNON — Last Wednesday was a special day for Pat Reilly, who was recognized as Vernon’s Outstanding Senior of the Year.
According to Jane Damstra, the director of the Vernon Senior Center and Nutrition Site, “Pat has spent many, many hours volunteering over the past two decades and her dedication and willingness to always help others, humbles us.”
Reilly is also a longtime volunteer at the Milford Manor. She is also a dedicated member and trustee of the Vernon VFW Post 8441 Auxiliary.
According to Damstra, “Members of the VFW describe her as honest, loyal and straight to the point. Pat Reilly is your ‘Go To Gal.’”
Held at Minerals Resort, the day featured a three-course luncheon, and dancing with music provided by DJ Allan Boles of Lake Stockholm who offered tunes suitable for dancing as well as taking requests from the seniors.
