Jeffrey W. Jager

Jeffrey W. Jager, 56, passed away at his home on May 13, 2016. Jeffrey was born on Jan. 18, 1960 in Newton and was raised in Branchville until moving to Vernon Township in 1991.
Jeffrey is the loving husband of Lynn O. Jager, devoted son of Milton W. and Edwina (nee Wallace) Jager Jr., and son-in-law of Pauline Oelschner, and his cherished dog, Zack. His brother predeceased him, Edwin Jager in 1961.
Jeffrey was employed in the maintenance department at Petro Lubricant Testing Labs, in Lafayette, and prior at Roy Company as a mechanic on the farm machines. Jeffrey had a passion for garden tractor pulling, and was a member of the Berks County Pullers Association and the Sussex County Antique Engine Club. Jeffrey enjoyed pulling apart and reworking tractor engines.
Relatives and friends will be received at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Court) on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
