Francis J. Curran

    Francis J. Curran, 85 years old, died on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick, N.Y. Born to John and Sarah Curran in Brooklyn, N.Y., he has lived in Glenwood, NJ since 1977.
    Francis served with the United States Air Force, after which he worked as a trainer for flight simulators. He travelled around the country and lived in Tokyo, Japan, doing this work. After marriage, he worked as a Quality Control Manager for Biolectron in Mahwah, N.J. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Vernon, NJ and an avid golfer.
    Francis is the beloved husband of Eileen Curran(nee Lagan) of Glenwood, N.J. Devoted father of Sarah Curran and her husband, Bryan Saalfeld of San Francisco, Calif., and Timothy Curran and his fiancé Nancy Chan of Seattle, Wash. Loving grandfather (“Pop Pop”) to Patrick, Joseph and Anna. Dear brother of John Curran and his wife, Betty of Carle Place, Long Island, N.Y. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
    Memorial Mass was Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales RC Church, 614 Route 517, Vernon, N.J. Repast for all family and friends to follow in Boland Hall at the church. Cremation under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, N.J.
