Barbara A. Kart, age 71, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. She ended the earthly journey of 50 plus years with her devoted husband and soul mate, Ulo. Born and raised in Passaic to the late Stanley and Anne Stumper, Barbara lived in Passaic until moving to Vernon in 1998. She revolved her life around her family, was the rock and compass for the children, shoulder to lean on, all-around "Mom" to anyone she met and was always looking to laugh and have a good time.
Besides, her husband, Ulo, Barbara is survived by her three sons, Matthew Kart of Vernon, Mark Kart and his fiancé Amy of New Milford, and Michael Kart and his wife Lisa of Austin, Texas; her daughter, Karen Kart and her wife, Lacy, of Silver Spring, Maryland, her two grandchildren, Tyler and Quinn, her cherished dog, Esther Rose, who will miss her tremendously; her three brothers, Stanley of Piscataway, Stewart of the Glenwood section of Vernon, and William of Vernon.
Friends may pay their respects to Barbara and her family on Saturday, May 14, with a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. and services to follow at 5 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
Private cremation services will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to either animal rescue organization; B.A.R.K.S, P.O.
