Warwick Valley Winery celebrates 20th annual Dylan Fest

WARWICK — Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host its annual Bob Dylan tribute festival May 28, 29 and 30.
This year's is the 20 year the Warwick Valley Winery has had its Dylan Festival. The festival is a continuation of the winery’s ongoing music series Uncorked and Unplugged in the Orchard.
The event will be held from 12 to 5 p.m. on the winery’s outdoor stage. Performers will be playing a mix of Dylan songs, paying homage to Bob Dylan’s timeless music. Attendees will see great local musicians as well as national recording artists, all playing at one of the Hudson Valley's prettiest music venues.
The music of Bob Dylan is a diverse blend of styles, encompassing genres from gospel, to folk, to rock and country. The lineup of musicians playing at this festival attempts to reflect that diversity.
On Saturday, the festival kicks off with Easy Chair followed by Julie Corbalis and Fred Gillen Jr. The lineup features local rockers Uncle Shoehorn. Dylan festival veterans The Kennedys will perform on Saturday as well. Concluding the day’s festivities is the Slambovian Circus of Dreams bringing their unique Hillbilly funk sound to the Dylan song book.
The 29th opens with Evan Teatum followed by Rob Schiff and the ever energetic E’lissa Jones Band. The Kennedys return for a second day to add their great harmonies to the festivities. New York City based Hollis Brown will conclude the day with hard hitting renditions of classic Dylan tunes.
Monday’s lineup begins with Dead on the Tracks, followed by the Dylan encyclopedia Rod MacDonald. Professor Louie and the Crowmatix will add their flare to Monday's roster. Rounding out the weekend’s performances will be Grammy-nominated guitarist and Telecaster legend Bill Kirchen.
Wine tastings, hard cider, sangria as well as specialty Dylan-themed cocktails will be available all weekend at the winery. Pizza, outdoor grill and soft drinks will also be available.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Outside food and beverages are prohibited. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
