VTHS graduate inducted into honor society

Chloe DeLuca-Knighton has been inducted into the Sussex County Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the community college’s chapter of Psi Beta Honor Society.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters on college campuses in all 50 of the United States, and throughout the world. Membership is by invitation and among other qualifications students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of coursework that may be applied to an associate degree and must have a grade point average of 3.5.
Psi Beta is the National Honor Society in Psychology for Community and Junior Colleges. Its mission is to “encourage professional development and psychological literacy of all students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.”
DeLuca-Knighton, a 2013 graduate of Vernon Township High School, graduated from Sussex County Community College with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts on May 18, 2016, and will continue her education at William Patterson University’s College of Education beginning in the fall with a goal to receive her degree and pursue a career as an Elementary Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
