Frank J. Cassella, 56, of Sparta, pleaded guilty to obstructing the administration of law, a fourth-degree crime.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on Dec. 31, 2015, he physically interfered with a police officer who had been summoned to investigate the assault of a Crystal Springs security officer in Hardyston Township.
The case was investigated by Sgt. Edward O’Rourke of the Hardyston Township Police Department.
Vincenza Ferrante, 33, of Chester. N.Y., was sentenced to three years probation on condition that she continue drug treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations, submit to random urine monitoring, submit a DNA sample, complete 300 hours of community service and pay $205 in court fines and fees.
She pleaded guilty on March 21 to fourth-degree assault by auto and several motor vehicle summonses including driving while intoxicated, refusal of alcotest and leaving the scene of an accident.
In November of 2015 the defendant was driving while under the influence when she ran into a vehicle stopped at a traffic light in Franklin, pushing that vehicle into oncoming traffic causing it to be hit again. She then left the scene of the accident.

Jason Livingston, 39, of Newark, pleaded guilty to burglary, a third-degree crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 1.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering a residence in Sparta on May 14, 2014, for the purpose of stealing property located in the residence.
The case was investigated by Detectives McCarrick and Hannam of the Sparta Township Police Department.
William E. Bartell, Jr., 31, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to Eluding, a third-degree crime, and to the motor vehicle offense of driving while intoxicated.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 29.
On March 28, a New Jersey State Police car was nearly struck head-on by the defendant’s vehicle. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while under the influence of alcohol and to not stopping when the trooper activated the overhead lights signaling him to stop.
The case was investigated by Trooper B.J. Ackerman of the New Jersey state police.
Thomas Roff, 38, of Newton was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison with credit for 282 days time served and a six-month loss of his driver’s license.
He also must also submit a DNA sample and pay $1,205 in court fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on March 7, 2016, to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
In August of 2015, Newton police were investigating an anonymous call regarding someone trying to sell Heroin near a local gas station. When police arrived at the gas station they found the defendant who had 51 bags of heroin in his pocket.
