The highlight of the afternoon was when a helicopter from Atlantic Air Ambulance arrived. After it landed, residents were permitted to get a really good look at it.
Giselle Smisko of the Wantage-based Avian Wildlife Center was on hand with some of her birds.
New Beemerville Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Kristian Rokosny helped the children put out imaginary fires.
Wantage EMTs and fire department were on hand to let residents explore their vehicles.
Three inflatables were available for the kids to explore.
WANTAGE — Hundreds of area residents came down to Woodbourne Veterans Memorial Park for Saturday’s annual Wantage Day.
The day began with the selection of Kelly Wask as Miss Wantage 2016, Mackenzie Zollinger as Little Miss Wantage, and Lorenzo Blanco as Little Mister Wantage.
There were three inflatables for the children to explore plus many businesses, vendors, and civic and volunteer organizations as well. The highlight of the afternoon was when a helicopter from Atlantic Air Ambulance arrived. After it landed, residents were permitted to get a really good look at it.
