Little Angels Learning Center is accepting its final applications for the 2016-17 school year.
This 10-month early education program that closely follows the Vernon Township school calendar, is an option for parents of 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children that want a smaller, more personalized program designed to give children individual attention to their needs.
Linda Stengel, the Center’s Coordinator of early childhood education has built a curriculum for each age group that fosters a positive socialization experience while assuring that age appropriate readiness skills are developed to prepare the child for their next phase of education.
“Our students thrive in our dynamic and hands on program. We incorporate art, music and dramatic play into our lessons which helps to increase attentiveness. It’s wonderful to see the transition that takes place throughout the year. Students may enter with no previous preschool experience, but when they leave they are well prepared to enter kindergarten with the foundation that they will need to be successful.”
Little Angels Learning Center is run under the auspices of St. Francis de Sales Church. While formal religious education does not take place until first grade, students are provided with an opportunity to hear about God’s great love for everyone and learn about caring for all God’s creations in our beautiful world. When asked why the Little Angels Learning Center is the right choice for parents that are choosing a preschool experience for their child, Stengel emphasizes that “the size of each age-level program lends itself to individualized learning opportunities that draw on children’s strengths while helping to address their unique needs. Our students are developing the foundation of cognitive and social skills that they will build upon in the years ahead.
An open house will be held after our annual Vacation Bible School Show on Friday, July 15, at 11:30 a.m. Or you may request a personal tour and overview of the program by contacting: Littleangels@stfrancisvernon.org or calling 973-827-3248.
