Falconer welcomed at Lounsberry Hollow

Lounsberry Hollow Middle School located in Vernon was recently host to some extraordinary birds of prey.
Students were entertained by a number of indigenous and non-indigenous birds flying through the gymnasium. The students and teachers alike, were in awe over these incredible species. The falconer, Jonathan Wood from The Raptor Project Birds of Prey, taught our faculty and students what was exceptional about each species.
Frawley, the coordinator for this event, stated, “Our students were very honored to be up close with these birds of prey and it was an amazing experience.”
Edwina Piszczek, principal of Lounsberry Hollow Middle School remarked, “The Raptor Project Birds of Prey program afforded our students an amazing, fun and educational learning experience that will not soon be forgotten.”
