Twelfth Night to perform at Sussex-Wantage library

| 01 Jul 2016 | 12:45

The Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library will host a free performance of ‘Twelfth Night’ at the library’s outdoor theater on Saturday, July 16, at 6 p.m.
Shakespeare’s popular comedy will be brought to life by performers from The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Next Stage Ensemble.
Written in 1601 or 1602, ‘Twelfth Night’ has enjoyed a lasting legacy. The play has inspired numerous film adaptations, including the popular 2006 teen film, ‘She’s the Man.’ Shipwrecked on an island far from home, Viola disguises herself as a man and seeks employ in the home of a powerful and love-struck Duke. Mistaken identities, misplaced love, and music make this play perfect for a fun summer evening.
This stage production is appropriate for adults and older children. Free tickets are available at the library’s front desk. Any remaining tickets will be available at the performance.
Please bring your own chairs and blankets. Picnickers are welcome, but alcohol is prohibited. In case of bad weather, the performance will be moved indoors to the library’s community room.
The Sussex-Wantage Library is located at 69 Route 639 in Wantage. For further information, please call the library at 973-875-3940 or visit the Friends’ website: friendsofswlibrary.org.
