— The very old Van Etten family, which once owned the Marie Zimmermann Estate in Dingmans Ferry, is reuniting on the property, says William Van Natta, a Van Etten descendant.
The reunion will be happening next year, on July 22, 2017.
"This will be the first time since 1882 when it was sold that a reunion has occurred," Van Natta said. "We are already anticipating descendants from all over the country to come."
The property is owned by the National Park Service, which, along with the Friends of Marie Zimmermann organization, is welcoming the family back.
"Plans are for not only a reunion but also the first ever History Fair of Pike and Monroe county's at the same time," said Van Natta. Details are being worked out, he said.
"All are welcome," says the invitation. "Van Atta's, Natta's, Natter's, and all other descendents. Save the date!"
