Judy Fay Layton, 66, passed away on Monday July 4, 2016 at the Chilton Medical Center, Pequannock Township, NJ. Judy was born on January 15, 1950 in Peckin, IL, to Marvin and Martha Christine (nee West) Ransom. Judy was 5 years old when she moved to Franklin, N.J.
Judy was a homemaker and loved to cook and have house parties with her family, and traveling to amusement parks.
Judy was predeceased by her father Marvin Ransom in 1986.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Charles Frank “Chuck” Layton, and her devoted children, twin son and daughter, Timothy Allen Burnett and his wife Crystal of Levittown, Pa., Laura Lee Bronstein and her husband, Bruce, of Seaford, Va., and a son, Charles Frank “Chuck” Layton Jr. and his wife, Christina, of Wantage, NJ, and a son, Michael Thomas Layton and his wife, Sara, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and her mother Chris Ransom Bennett and her husband, Richard, of Fairmount, N.C., and her cherished nine grandchildren, Dylan Cole Bronstein, Rachel Morgan Bronstein, Jordon Ransom Bronstein, Jared Joseph Kellet Burnett, Vanessa Maria Burnett, Samuel James Burnett, Elizabeth Marie Layton, Justin Mathew Layton, and Harper Grace Layton, and her sister Debra K. Locklear and her husband Wayne of Lumberton, N.C.
Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday July 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home One Main Street, Franklin, N.J., and are invited to attend funeral services at the funeral home on Monday, July 11, at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
