Avalon Jazz Band to come back to Highland Lakes

Saturday, July 23, will mark the return of Tatiana Eva-Marie and Adrien Chevalier, who are coming back to Seckler Stage to perform with their Avalon Jazz Band.
The intoxicating French Café swing jazz band’s passion for uncovering hidden gems from the past and giving them a second life never fails to transform the Clubhouse into a hotspot of the 1940’s Parisian jazz scene (think Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli and the Hot Club of France).
With more than 400 songs in their repertoire, including instrumentals, the band (and its fans) enjoys the luxury of never having to play the same set, or even the same songs, night after night. “Every concert is a different experience,” says Eva-Marie. “That’s how our shows stay alive. They’re always improvised and always changing, which keeps it fun and is what adds to that atmosphere. It’s not like pop music where everything is written down, it’s more casual and more intimate.”
Contact the Concert Series at 973-271-9780 or Club Office at 973-764-4366 to buy tickets, or visit hlcc.org/events/concert-series for more information.
Tickets for members-in-good-standing and their guests are $20; tickets for non-members are $25. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.
