Cornerstone Theatre Presents Annie Jr.

— Cornerstone Theatre’s production of Annie Jr. opens July 15 at 8 p.m. The show, which touts famous songs like “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life,” is directed by Jana Byrnes. Byrnes is a student at Centenary University, in her senior year, studying musical theater. The production of Annie Jr. marks her directorial debut, as Byrnes is usually found on stage performing. For this production, Jana is joined by her mother and sister, Kara, as the three act as director, choreographer and musical director of the show.
The production of this show features many youths in Sussex County. The teenagers in the show comprise the adult roles in the cast, including Kyle Penny as Daddy Warbucks, Vivienne Diaz as Miss Hannigan, Sabina Kunze as Grace, Alexander McCully as Rooster and Hailey Minter as Lily. The orphans are double cast, allowing for more opportunity for area children to be involved in the show. The two Annie’s cast are Sadie Donnelly and Danielle Penny.
