    — British rockers Yes will perform their album "Drama" in its entirety at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 8 p.m.
While the recent passing of the band's leader, bassist Chris Squire, YES plans to continue performing. Joining YES on bass is former YES member, Billy Sherwood. Extremely well-versed with YES music, the inner working of YES as a unit, as well as being a master bassist and vocalist, Sherwood is the perfect addition to a line-up of fellow virtuosos that also includes lead vocalist Jon Davison, and veteran YES men, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, and keyboardist Geoff Downes.
Drama was the 10th studio album by YES, released in 1980 by Atlantic Records. It is their only album to feature Trevor Horn as lead vocalist, following the departure of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in March 1980. It marked a departure in the band's musical direction with songs more accessible and aggressive that featured the use of modern keyboards and a vocoder. Drama was released to a mostly positive critical reception, with most welcoming the band's new sound. The album peaked at No. 2 in the UK and No. 18 in the U.S.
Tales from Topographic Oceans was the sixth studio album from Yes, released as a double album in 1973 by Atlantic Records. It is a concept album based on singer Jon Anderson's interpretation of a footnote in Autobiography of a Yogi (1946) by Paramahansa Yogananda that describes four bodies of Hindu texts, collectively named the shastras. It was a commercial success, becoming the first UK album to qualify for Gold certification based on pre-orders alone. It topped the UK Album Chart for two weeks and reached No. 6 in the United States.
Tickets are $79 to $125. For more information, call 973-539-8008.
