Joan B. Sisko

Joan B. Sisko, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at her residence. Born in Passaic to the late Anthony and Helen (Sidor) Penk, Mrs. Sisko lived in Clifton before moving to Sussex County in 1986. She was a registered nurse for St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic before her employment at the former Wallkill Valley General Hospital in Sussex. She retired at age 67 from St. Clare’s Hospital in Sussex.
Mrs. Sisko was predeceased by her husband, Ronald J. Sisko, Sr. on April 3, 2011. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald J. Sisko, Jr. of Wantage and Michael Sisko of Montague; her two daughters, Linda Sisko of Colorado and Debra Schweizer of North Carolina; her sister, Sandra Egan of Montague; her six grandchildren and her two great grandchildren.
Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 350 Sparta Avenue, Building B, Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871.
