Chamber hosts second annual street fair

Lori Fitamant helped to man the tent with tasty victuals from SmokeyþÄôs Brick Oven Tavern.
Entertainment was provided by Warwick, N.Y.-based Petty Young Dylans. The duo is comprised of Gloria Esch and Mike OþÄôBrien.
Vernon Chamber of Commerce President Elmer Platz was on hand to answer questions about the organization and his businesses.
Rising above it all was stilt walker Cortney Gwenn Sky Sprite who at first mingled with fair goers and then walked down to Route 515 to try to attract more visitors.
VERNON — With temperatures reaching the upper 80s, Main Street was once again closed on Saturday as the Vernon Chamber of Commerce offered its second annual street fair.
First held last May, more than 20 area businesses, organizations, and food vendors lined the street offering visitors items for sale, free samples, and a selection of victuals.
