Dance Explosion wins awards

WILDWOOD — Dance Expression Dance Arts performed for the DANCEXPLOSION National Dance and Talent Competition in Wildwood, NJ.
The dancers received Excalibur, overall high score awards, choreography awards, excellence awards, and special performance awards.
In the Rising Star division, Vive Le Swing won first place excalibur award (oveall high score of all groups 12-and-younger, platinum award for first overall in the junior novice large group and the choreography award for all groups 12-and younger.
DJ Turn It Up won the large group junior hip hop platinum award, second overall in the junior novice large group and the Formation Sensation Award. The Itty Bitty Pretty One won the platinum award in the small group petite tap and fourth overall in the petite novice large group. Tell Him won a platinum award in the large petit jazz group.
In the Excellerated Division, Sacrifice won a platinum award, third overall in the large group junio rmodern and the Extreme Challenge Invitation. Teach Me How to Shimmy won fifth overall, a platinum overall and the Extreme Challenge Invitation in the small group junior jazz division. In My Life, won a platinum award and 10th overall in the large group junior lyrical.
In the Extreme Division, Human won the extreme platinum and fifth overall in the smasll group teen modern. Hairspray won the extreme platinum in the teen musical theatre production. Juggernaut won extreme platinum and an Extreme Challenge Invitation in the teen musical theatre line. Who Lived Here won 10th overall, an extreme platinum award, in the Large Group Senior Modern group. Out of Time won an extreme platinum in the small group teen contemportary division. It also won Well infused and the Boo Kitty Special Award. American in Paris won extreme platinum and the Period Perfect Special Award in the Large Group Senior Open division. Body Music won extreme platinum in the large group teen tap. Banji won an extreme platinum in large group teen tap. Don Quixote won platinum in Small Group senior Ballet. Blowin in the Wind won platinum in the Small Group Senior Lyrical.
The group also won solo, duet and trio awards.
