Friends of Sussex-Wantage Library plans talent show

WANTAGE — The Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library will host its first-ever talent show for local musicians at the library’s outdoor theater on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 6 pm.
SoundZ @ The Amp will feature up to 10 pre-selected acts, which will be judged by a panel of three members of the local music community. The top three winners will be invited to perform as the opening act to one of the Friend’s upcoming Thursdays at the Amp concerts.
The public is invited to attend the show and cheer on their favorite acts. Free tickets will be available beginning Thursday, Aug. 4. Stop by the Sussex-Wantage Library to pick up your tickets, or call 973-875-3940 and ask for some to be set aside in your name. Any remaining tickets will be available at the performance.
Please bring your own chairs and blankets. Picnickers are welcome, but alcohol is prohibited. All children must be accompanied by an adult. In case of bad weather, the performance will be moved indoors to the library’s community room.
