Justin Vodde of Vernon was among 15 students who graduated from Vista Life Innovations — a nationally accredited community-based education program for individuals with disabilities — in a ceremony held on July 15.
Justin came to Vista in September 2013 and was a student in the Discover Program, a transitional post-secondary program in a supported campus setting. Through the program, students receive hands-on life skills instruction, employment training and counseling supports to help them develop the skills and behaviors needed to live independently as an adult.
Graduation is a significant milestone in the lives of Vista students that acknowledges the independence and success they have worked hard to achieve. Graduates will go on to move into their own homes or apartments and live as independent members of the Connecticut shoreline community while receiving individualized services as members of Vista’s Engage Program.
With campuses in Madison, Westbrook and Guilford, Conn., Vista has been providing services and resources to assist individual with disabilities achieve personal success for over 26 years.
