    Natalie Toran, age 84, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Prague, The Czech Republic to the late Alexander and Nina Van Dolgov, Mrs. Toran came to the United States in 1944 and resided in New York City before moving to Sussex County 30 years ago. She was a college professor at Essex County Community College in Newark. Mrs. Toran had attended Holy Spirit Orthodox Church in Wantage. She is survived by her two sons, Errol Toran of New York, New York and Alev Toran of Switzerland and two grandchildren, Allegra and Orion. She will most be remembered by and for those to whom she opened her heart and her home in their times of difficulty. Her generous and sympathetic soul saved many a life. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a time of family reflection at 7 p.m. An Orthodox Christian Memorial Service for the newly reposed Natalie will be offered at 8 p.m. at the Holy Spirit Orthodox Church, 102 Route 284, Wantage, NJ 07461.
