Michael L Rubin, age 67, of Highland Lakes N.J., passed away on Sunday August 28th 2016.
Michael Rubin was an enthusiastic dancer, a sometimes poet, a loyal friend, a political activist, a husband, a brother and devoted son.
Michael was a man who dedicated the last 20 years of his life to the service of others, working for the Bergen County Division of Senior Services as a social worker. He was beloved by his co-workers and touched many hundreds of clients over the years with his ready and quirky humor, compassion and dedication.
He loved family and was always there for every holiday gathering and milestone for his siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a devoted, loving son, to his mother Trudy Rubin, who was a Holocaust survivor.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and sweet dog, Leo, four siblings, Rachel Reuben, Danielle Goral, John Touitou, Rudy Touitou, stepchildren, Keith Decker and Jamie Meyer, and the Adler family, for whom he had great affection.
Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Holcombe Fisher funeral home in Flemington NJ, with a graveside service to follow.
