Arthur Anthony Maggio

    Arthur Anthony Maggio, husband, father and grandfather. Born April 30, 1929, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 28, 2016 at the age of 87. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., of Italian immigrants, he moved to Vernon Twp., N.J. in 1970.
    He served our country as part of the Peacekeeping forces in Germany after World War II. Arthur worked as a printer for more than 40 years for various companies throughout New Jersey. He served on the Board of the Vernon Twp. Senior Citizens, was a member of the American Legion and was a parishioner of St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon Twp., N.J. He practiced being a devout, prayerful Catholic. He was a former race horse owner and took great joy in playing cards.
    Arthur is the beloved husband of Raffaella Maggio(nee Fiorillo) of Glenwood, N.J. Devoted father of Arthur Maggio and his wife, Deborah, of Montville, N.J. Loving grandfather of Stephanie and Gabrielle.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon Twp., NJ at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., NJ.
