Walnut Ridge holds open house

Young children were able to frolic on the gymnasium floor of the multi-purpose room.
Ridge Primary School Principal Rosemary Gebhardt greeted each new student and their families as they arrived at þÄúThe Little School with the Big Heart,þÄù and had a photo portrait taken with each new student.
Parents had a chance to meet and greet parents of other children as they explored the classrooms, library, and various other facilities inside and outside the school.

VERNON — Although Vernon Township schools do not officially open until next Tuesday, Ridge Primary School opened its doors for two days last week, so that the new students could meet and greet with their new teachers.
As students and their families arrived at the school, School Principal Rosemary Gebhardt greeted each student and family member and sat for a photo portrait with each new student.
Many new students also came with their older siblings who once again had a chance to visit with teachers who had also been their previous educators. In keeping with its moniker “The Little School with the Big Heart,” family members are often invited to the school’s special family-oriented programs throughout the school year.
