Mayor Harry Shortway reminded the public the township is offering free private well testing from Sept. 14-28 to the first 100 residents who sign up for the service.
The test will measure gross alpha and radon in the water. Test results will be confidential to the well owner, Shortway said.
“We don't see a major problem here, but we're trying to prevent one,” Shortway said of the testing.
The council also heard from a Legends Hotel unit owner questioning a notice that he must remove his elderly renter.
Township attorney John Ursin advised the resident that there are several pending fire code and zoning code violations in the structure and referred him to the appropriate bodies for more information.
