Skylands Gallery plans non-member event

NEWTON — For a second time, Skylands Gallery will be featuring non-member artists for an exhibit entitled “What Fires You Up?”.
From the mundane to the catastrophic, the materials they use, social issues, color, form, interesting encounters, world events. We challenged artists to explore what makes them tick, or adversely, ticks them off.
This juxtaposition of feelings and emotions with whole hearted free expression has the potential for some powerful work! With artists from Morris, Bergen, Sussex, Union, Orange & Pike Counties, this exhibit is sure to inspire.
You can join in the celebration and welcome our visitors at an Opening Reception on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Entrance is free and there will be live music, complimentary food and beverages. With this entertainment and our variety of fine paintings, photography, metal work, collage, mixed media, jewelry and silk scarves.
Skylands Gallery is located at 7 Boulder Hills Boulevard in Wantage in The Plaza at Wantage.
