Tickets are now on sale for the Vernon Township Historical Society Annual Dinner and Auction, held at St. Francis de Sales Church on Route 517 in Vernon on Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person for the all-you-can-eat, four course Beefsteak Dinner. Dozens of items will be auctioned, including beautiful original works of art by local artists. There will also be many free door prizes.
The Brownstone, the premier restaurant for beefsteak, will cater the dinner. In addition to the beefsteak, this four-course meal includes salad, antipasto, pasta with marinara sauce, vegetables, dessert, and coffee or tea. No one will go home hungry! This fun event is BYOB. There will also be music and a 50/50 raffle.
For tickets, call 973-764-6545. You may also mail a check for tickets to the Vernon Township Historical Society at P.O. Box 387, Vernon, NJ 07462. A minimum number of tickets will be sold at the door, so it is best to purchase ahead of time. This is the society’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds go towards the society’s many free programs for children and adults of all ages.
