Australian Bee Gees to bring tribute to Newton

NEWTON — The Newton Theatre presents The Australian Bee Gees, a Tribute to The Bee Gees, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 8 p.m.
It's Saturday Night Fever every night with The Australian Bee Gees Show – A Tribute to the Bee Gees. One of the most successful and adored acts in musical history will be recreated in a 75-minute multi-media concert event. You'll hear hits like Staying Alive, You Should Be Dancing, How Deep Is Your Love, and Jive Talkin'.
The performers authentic take on the trio’s music, costuming, style and moves showcase five decades of the Brothers Gibb's success as rock and disco legends, while audiences groove to their memorable music and are immersed in the disco era.

Wayne Hosking was born in Melbourne, Australia and raised in a musical family. After nightly performances as a solo pianist and singer in Melbourne, he set up a theatre company and toured internationally as Musical Director. He composed his first opera at age 21, premiering to standing ovations. In 1996, Wayne took on the role of Maurice Gibb in The Australian Bee Gees Show.
David Scott is from Auckland, New Zealand. At age 10 he took up the guitar and at fourteen he formed his first band and played on the local Auckland club scene. Dave moved to Australia in 1989 and eventually joined an Eagles tribute show. This band became the nucleus of The Australian Bee Gees Show and Dave has evolved from a guitarist into front man, Robin Gibb.
Born in Queanbeyan, Australia, Michael Clift found his calling learning the guitar at the age of eight. After leaving school he toured Australia with his band Red Tape, who released several singles. In 1996, Michael formed The Australian Bee Gees Show, taking on the role of Barry Gibb and, twenty years on, has toured all over the world as part of the most successful Bee Gees show ever.
