    William Nielson-DeWitt, 36, of Highland Lakes pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 18.
    The defendant admitted that he was in possession of Heroin when Vernon police were serving an arrest warrant on him regarding another matter.

    Oct. 7

    Jquan Williams, 18, of Trentonwas sentenced to three years of probation and 23 days’ time served in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. He was ordered to submit to a mental health evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made, to complete an approved anger management program, to obtain his GED, and to obtain at least part-time employment.
    He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and pay fines and fees totaling $205.
    He pleaded guilty on July 5, 2016, to aggravated assault, a third-degree crime.
    On April 21, the defendant had a hard plastic medical cast on his hand. He hit an individual with his casted hand causing a laceration requiring staples.
    Christopher Faulkner, 27, of Hopatcong was sentenced to five years probation, to run concurrent with his Morris County sentence of Drug Court. He must also complete the Straight and Narrow Program, comply with all treatment recommendations required by Morris County Drug Court, including TASC or substance abuse evaluations, submit a DNA sample and pay $1205.00 in court fines and fees.
    He pleaded guilty on July 18 to third-degree possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
    The defendant admitted that while incarcerated in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility he was in possession of Xanax, which was found during a shakedown of the jail.
    Cassandra Post, 20, of Totowa was sentenced to three years Probation on condition that she write a 250 word letter of apology to the victim, obtain a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations, submit a DNA sample, complete 100 hours of community service, pay $238 restitution joint and several, and $155 in court fines and fees.
    Robert Colomban, 21, of Far Hills was sentenced to four years of probation on condition that he serve 60 days in the sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program, write a 250-word letter of apology to the victim, submit a DNA sample, complete 100 hours of community service, pay $238 restitution joint and several, and $155 in court fines and fees, continuing counseling and pursue educational opportunities.
    They both pleaded guilty on Feb. 3, 2016. Post to third degree theft and Colomban to third degree Conspiracy to commit theft.
    In December of 2014, both Post and Colomban, along with co-defendant Hardwick Stires, were involved in a robbery at the Quick Check in Hampton. Colomban drove Stires, who committed armed robbery of the Quick Chek.

    Oct. 11

    Stephen Colacurcio, 35, of Stanhope pleaded guilty to the third degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 2.
    He admitted to selling cocaine in Franklin on July 18 to an individual cooperating with the Franklin Police Dept..
    Ricky McCarthy, 61, of Sussex Borough pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 9.
    He admitted to selling heroin, in the Borough of Sussex on July 11, 2016, to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
    Matthew Fedroff, 36, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to unauthorized practice of medicine, a third-degree crime, and attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 18.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on May 24, 2016, in Franklin, he posed as a doctor and phoned in a fraudulent prescription for Xanax to the Shop Rite Pharmacy.
    The case was investigated by Detective Robert Vander Ploeg of the Franklin Borough Police Department.
    John Ortiz, 23, of Sparta pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree crime of conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Nov. 18.
    He admitted to conspiring with another individual in the distribution of marijuana on December 19, 2015 in Byram Township. The matter was investigated by Byram Detective Tierney.
