— Buildings at Millbrook Village will be open for tours and traditional craft demonstrations during a special Halloween program to be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Lantern tours of the village will be offered every 10 to 15 minutes starting at 6 p.m., with the last tour leaving at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight. Light refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
Children’s seasonal activities will be offered, such as a scavenger hunt and crafts, like cornhusk and apple-head dolls.
“Fall is a great time to visit the park,” said John Donahue, Superintendent of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which is sponsoring the event. "This program gives our visitors a chance to take advantage of the shorter days of autumn with some afternoon and early evening fun.”
Millbrook is located on Old Mine Road, 12 miles north of Interstate 80 (Exit 1) in New Jersey. Access is also available by taking NJ Route 602 (Millbrook-Blairstown Road) seven miles west from its intersection with Route 94 in Blairstown.
