Cedar Mountain students make pumpkin decorations

The fourth-grade Language Arts students at Cedar Mountain were busy decorating pumpkins as Halloween arrived.
The pumpkins were not a traditional Halloween pumpkin. Each pumpkin was transformed into a character from a children’s book. Students worked cooperatively with their team in deciding which book character would be their goal. Teams learned the term majority rule as they voted on the character and how to implement their ideas. Each team used a Chromebook to assist with their designs and list supplies needed to develop their character.
Students demonstrated genuine teamwork as they developed their creation. All students had a great learning experience.
One fourth-grade team stated “this was the best project ever!” The students of Cedar Mountain can now stroll the hall and enjoy the finished character pumpkins.
