The Skylands Gallery & Studio in Wantage is now showing “Small Works — Perfect for Giving,” an exhibition that centers on affordable artwork and small art pieces that can be special and inspired gifts another, or for yourself, during this holiday season.
The opening reception was Saturday, Nov. 5. Presented by local artists who are members of the Skylands Gallery cooperative, the show includes numerous artworks by each member and by guest artists from Sussex and the surrounding counties. The result is a diverse selection of professional pieces by about 25 artists.
Besides paintings, photographs, reliefs, fiber art, mixed media, and other fine art mediums, there is also a large selection of artistic and finely crafted accessories. Even if art isn’t currently listed in those letters to Santa, it’s fun to peruse the diverse and interesting artworks created by these professional and talented artists. The exhibit continues until December 18; so take a peek, enjoy the show, and, hey, you never know what you might find.
Skylands Gallery & Studio is located in the Town Center in Wantage, 7 Boulder Hills Boulevard (off Rt. 23 South). Regular hours are: Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. Viewing is also available by appointment.
