No Strings A Capella coming to Wantage

| 18 Nov 2016 | 03:49

Welcome the winter holiday season with a festival of song at the Sussex-Wantage Library on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. when No Strings A Cappella will raise their voices and lift your hearts with a selection of seasonal music.
The 10 members of No Strings released their first album last year, a heartfelt vocal journey that crackled with energy. In this concert, they will combine some old favorites with new songs that reflect the group’s musical diversity. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library. Free tickets for the concert will be available at the Library beginning on Saturday, November 26th. You may also call 973-875-3940 and ask for tickets to be set aside in your name.
The members of No Strings formed this ensemble in 2013 to bring their special brand of vocal harmony to audiences in northern New Jersey and southern New York. Delighting audiences with their signature upbeat mix of popular songs, jazz, spirituals and classical pieces, they have been featured performers at venues as varied as the German Christmas market in Lake Mohawk for five years running, the Santa Claus Parade in Boonton, and the Festival of Trees in Andover. They were among the winning performers at the Highlands Got Talent contest in Newton in 2015. The singers of No Strings come from varied backgrounds but share a broad range of experience in professional theater, jazz clubs and concert halls. Funding for No Strings A Cappella has been made available in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered through the Sussex Arts and Heritage Council.
