Hilltop welcomes additional faculty

    Three additional faculty members join a seasoned, veteran group of experienced 21st century educators at Hilltop Country Day school in response to increasing enrollment.
    Lydia Dunne returns to Hilltop as the part-time preschool classroom assistant after a 2-year hiatus. She previously worked at Hilltop as a substitute teacher and was also the AM Kids’ Club Coordinator. Lydia has over 30 years combined experience as an elementary school teacher, preschool teacher, and substitute teacher. She received her B.A. in history and elementary education from Caldwell College (University).
    Sheri Picinic as a new part-time Pre-K classroom assistant. She joins Hilltop with over 15 years of early childhood experience. Sheri has worked as a preschool teacher, has provided private day care services and most recently, she was an aide in the Sparta School District. Sheri is a graduate of Ramapo College with a Bachelor’s degree in literature with a concentration in elementary education.
    Sean Thorne joins Hilltop as a part-time learning center teacher. He holds a B.A. in history from the College of New Jersey, and a M.S. in early adolescent education from the Bank Street College of Education. He has 20 years of experience teaching middle school english, history, and phys ed at Rutgers Preparatory School. Most recently, Sean taught modern history, as well as AP history at the Princeton International School of Mathmatics. Outside of the classroom, Sean is a physical trainer at Gold’s Gym.
