Arlene V. Toth

    Arlene V. Toth (nee Smalley) passed away on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Denville, N.J. She was born in Fords, N.J., on Oct. 1, 1933 to the late Joseph and Anna (Havrilla) Smalley. Arlene spent many happy years in both New Jersey and Florida.
    Arlene was a graduate of Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Orange, N.J. She was employed as a registered nurse in several hospitals and for private practice physicians. She enjoyed many artistic pursuits including dancing, painting and stained glass. She was an avid reader and traveled the world extensively.
    Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bertalan W. Toth, Jr. of Mount Arlington, and her children, Beverly McDonnell and her husband James of Monroe Township, Daniel Toth and his wife, Kathleen, of Glenwood, and Audrey Sparta and her husband, Michael, of Vernon and her seven cherished grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales RC Church 617 Rt. 517, Vernon, N.J.
