Lilla J. LaFrenz

Lilla J. LaFrenz, age 57, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at her residence after a long illness. Born in Manhattan, New York, Lilla grew up there and had lived in Spring Valley, New York before moving to Sussex County in 1988. She had been a caretaker and had been employed by the Merriam House in Newton. Lilla was predeceased by her birth father, John Paczer. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" W. LaFrenz, Jr.; her daughter, Victoria LaFrenz of Sussex; her son, Julius C. Paczer of Sussex; her mother, Elizabeth Traubmann of Manhattan, New York; her father, Nick Nelson of Sussex; her brother, Steven Paczer of Kentucky; and her sisters, Ginger Paczer of San Diego, California and Christina Paczer of Seattle, Washington. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends paid their respects to the family on Friday before the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and also on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family respects that memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
