Libraries plan reading program

There’s no better way to spend a cold winter day than curling up with a good book. And during the Chill Out and Read winter reading program at the Sussex County Libraries, reading pays off in other ways.
Beginning Jan. 9 children in preschool through 3rd grade can collect different brag tags for every week they read at least one book. Older children and adults can win Amazon gift cards. Each book read equals one raffle ticket, and three Amazon gift cards will be awarded at each Branch. Readers are welcome to increase their chances (and their browsing selections) by entering at more than one branch, but can only win once.
Registration begins Jan. 3 and can be done in person or online through the library’s website, sussexcountylibrary.org. All log sheets and raffle tickets must be turned in by Feb. 4, and all prizes will be awarded the following week.
