    Edward Shultz, Jr., 70 years old, died unexpectedly at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016. Born to Edward and Frances Shultz in Branchville, N.J., he had lived in Glenwood, N.J., for many years before moving to Unionville, N.Y., 11 years ago.
    Edward served with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and then worked as a machinist for Atlantic Service in Quarryville, N.J., for over 22 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the American Legion Post #151, Westtown, N.Y., and VFW Post #3177, Greenville, N.Y. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed following the New York Giants and New York Mets.
    Edward is predeceased by his wife, Virginia (1994) and a daughter, Bonnie Jean Shultz (2014) and is the devoted father of David Shultz of Clarksville, Tenn. Brother of Richard Crawn, John Shultz, Terri and Theodora Shultz. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, brother- and sister-in-laws.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, from 10 to noon. Cremation will be private.
