Christmas blessing in disguise

VERNON — Giving back to others is a principle Kellie Cusack lives by, and for a second year she is collecting and donating gifts to the Goryeb Pediatric Children’s Hospital, where she herself has spent time during the holidays.
After a major mishap where Christmas gifts Kellie Cusak had collected were inadvertently channeled to another organization, faculty, staff, and the Vernon community at large jumped in to replace them at the eleventh hour, generating a Christmas Miracle for the patients at Goryeb.
Cusak is a senior at Vernon Township High School.
