Holy Counselor reschedules Christmas concert

| 28 Dec 2016 | 12:39

Holy Counselor Lutheran Church has rescheduled the free Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 31 at noon.
Under the direction of music director June Tarantino, the church choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra will kick off the Christmas season with this free concert. Soloists Jon & Faith Hartlage will be featured throughout the cantata, Holy Night of Miracles, by Lloyd Larson.
This recently written cantata captures the miracle of the Christmas story, recalling that one miraculous night in Bethlehem that changed the course of history forever. As foretold by prophets of the Old Testament, the Messiah entered the world, capturing the hearts of people with a message of hope and love. The holy night on which Jesus was born is remembered and celebrated each Christmas. Holy Night of Miracles reminds us that hope was born on that first Christmas long ago, and continues to touch and renew our hearts to this day.
Holy Counselor is located near Mountain Creek off Route 94 in Vernon at 68 Sand Hill Road. You may visit their website at www.hc-lutheranchurch.org or call the church for more information at 973-827-5251. Admission is free.
