Mathias A. Reiser

Mathias A. Reiser, age 98, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Paterson, Mr. Reiser lived in Butler before moving to Franklin 43 years ago. He had retired in 1984 from the Sparta Township Department of Public Works after working there for 15 years. Mr. Reiser was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg. He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra in 2002.
Mr. Reiser is survived by his son, Martin Reiser and his wife, Debbie, of Sparrowbush, N.Y.,; his daughter, Lisa Kaegi and her husband, Victor, of Wantage; his five grandchildren, Joseph, Matt, and Victor Kaegi and Michael and Kimberley Reiser; his great grandson, Joseph; his nephews, George Reiser of Fort Lawn, South Carolina and Johnny Reiser of Florida; his niece, Cecelia Cobianchi of Landing; and his very close and dear friend, Steve Gannuscio and his family of Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Wantage. Friends may pay their respects one hour before the service to the family on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
