    Adam Koch, 72 years old, died after a short illness on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Fredon Twp., N.J. Born to John and Kazimiera Koch in Zschippach, Germany, he came to the United States in 1951 settling in Passaic, N.J., and has lived in Garfield, N.J., for many years.
    Adam served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War and then worked as a laborer for years and most recently as a maintenance man for Packaging Corp. of America in Garfield, N.J., before retiring in 2009. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic, NJ and enjoyed the bus trips to the casino with the church groups. He had an affinity for deep sea fishing and classic cars.
    Adam is predeceased by his mother, Kazimiera Koch (2014) and his brother in law, Joseph Krenicky (2013) and is the devoted brother of Stella Krenicky of Glenwood, N.J. Dear uncle of Joseph Krenicky of Glenwood, N.J., and Jenifer Hordych and her husband, Christopher of Glenwood, N.J. Loving granduncle of Madison, Tyler and Kaitlyn.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 9 to 10 AM. Funeral service to commence at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, South Hackensack, NJ.
