Elizabeth J. Van Nest

Elizabeth J. Van Nest, age 54, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born and raised in Paterson, Liz lived in Clifton before moving to Wantage.
She was predeceased by her father, Carl Larson. Liz is survived by her husband, Wallace Van Nest; her daughter, Mackenzie at home; her mother, Joan Larson of Wantage; her brother, Carl Larson of Pompton Lakes; and her three sisters, Patricia Coleman of Paterson, Michelle Rizzo of Seaford, New York, and Colleen Cherena of Sussex. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and especially appreciated the moments spent with her at Dance Expression and dance competitions. Liz was a member of St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex.
Interment Beemerville Cemetery in Wantage. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Liz's memory to the Living Donor Institute at St. Barnabas Medical Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052.
