The Sussex County affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will resume meetings of its "NAMI Connection" Recovery Support Group in February.
The group will meet the second and fourth Monday of every month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Newton (legal holidays excluded). Individuals living with any type of mental health challenge are welcome to attend. NAMI Connection is peer-led by trained NAMI members who have experienced such challenges themselves. There is no charge to participate and no need to pre-register.
The group will meet at "A Way to Freedom" Community Wellness Center, 29 Trinity Street in Newton. The entrance to the Wellness Center is at the rear of the Mitchell Agency building, on the corner of Trinity and Moran Streets. Participants must provide their own transportation.
Confidentiality will be respected at all times. Participants will be free to share as much or as little as they wish about their challenges and successes on the road to recovery.
