Vernon schools plan registrations

    The Vernon Township School District provides a quality preschool program using Tools of the Mind, a N.J. Dept. of Education approved developmentally appropriate curriculum, for children with and without disabilities.
    This curriculum infuses theme-based teaching that is aligned with N.J. Student Learning Standards. Preschool is offered five days a week during a morning or afternoon session. Vernon residents may enroll children in preschool upon their third birthday. Children must be fully toilet trained to start the program.
    The cost wll be $3,000 per year, payable in 10-month increments of $300 per month. A $50.00 deposit is required at registration to hold your child’s seat in the program.
    Children will be placed in a.m./p.m. sections based on first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of openings, a waiting list will be developed.
    Kindergarten RegistrationChildren who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2017, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year. The district encourages all parents and guardians to enroll their child online as early as possible for district staffing and planning purposes.
