Vernon UMC sells hoagies for mission trip

VERNON — For the fourth year in a row, members of the Vernon United Methodist Church have gone on a mission trip to Red Bird in southeast Kentucky and joined hands in the repair and renovation of homes to make them safe, more conformatable and long lasting for their owner.
The Vernon United Methodist Church sells hoagies on Super Bowl Sunday for its mission trip. This year's sale was done in partnership with Sussex Meat Packing.
The church's next mission trip is planned for July 15-22.
